Car
If you are driving from the town of Tena, head west on the E45 road. Continue on the E45 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Baeza. Take the exit towards Baeza and continue on the E28 road. After about 10 kilometers, you will encounter signs for Rio Jatunyacu. Follow these signs, and after approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach the river. Note that the road can be unpaved in sections, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Public Transportation
From Tena, you can take a bus heading towards Baeza. The buses leave from the main bus terminal in Tena, and the fare is typically around $1.50. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Baeza, you can catch another bus or a taxi that will take you to the Rio Jatunyacu. The taxi fare is around $10-15, and the trip should take approximately 15 minutes.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any major town in Oriente, such as Tena or Baeza. The taxi fare from Tena to Rio Jatunyacu is usually around $25-30, and the trip will take about 40 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
