Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main street in Puerto Ayora, head towards the Charles Darwin Research Station, located about a 15-minute walk away. Once you reach the station, continue along the path that leads to the main road heading north. Follow the road for approximately 1 km until you reach the junction at the end of the street. Here, you will find signs pointing towards Cerro Dragon. Turn left onto the dirt path that leads towards the hills, and continue walking for another 30-40 minutes. The trail is well-marked, offering beautiful views and occasional wildlife sightings.

  • Water Taxi

    If you prefer a more scenic route, you can take a water taxi from the main harbor in Puerto Ayora. Water taxis are available near the dock; you will need to negotiate a price with the taxi operator. Ask to be taken to the nearest point to Cerro Dragon. Once you arrive at the drop-off point, follow the trail leading inland. The walk from the drop-off location to Cerro Dragon is about 20-30 minutes through a well-marked path and offers stunning coastal views.
