From the main dock in Puerto Ayora, head south on Avenida Charles Darwin. Walk along this road until you reach the intersection with Calle 12 de Febrero. Turn left onto Calle 12 de Febrero and continue straight until you see the signs for the Galápagos Islands. The entrance to the Islands is well marked, and you will notice tour operators and information centers along the way.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops along Avenida Charles Darwin. Start at the dock and cycle along Avenida Charles Darwin towards the south. Keep cycling until you reach Calle 12 de Febrero. Turn left and continue until reaching the marked entrance to the Galápagos Islands. Be sure to follow the designated bike lanes where available.
