The beach gets its name from its location near the Charles Darwin Research Station. While the sandy area isn't extensive, it's perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Galapagos scenery. The calm bay, sheltered by a rock barrier, is ideal for snorkeling, offering the chance to spot various fish, sea urchins, starfish, and even small sharks. Marine iguanas are commonly seen along the path to the beach, and you might even encounter sea lions. The beach is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and has no entry fee.
