Getting There

    If you are starting from Plaza Grande (the main square in the historic center), head east on Calle García Moreno. Walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle Espejo. Centro Cultural Metropolitano will be on your left, at the corner of García Moreno and Calle Espejo.

  • Public Transport (Trolebus)

    From the Terminal Terrestre (bus station), take the Trolebus (Line 1) heading towards El Recreo. Get off at the stop called 'Jorge Washington'. Walk up Jorge Washington street until you reach the intersection with Calle García Moreno. Turn left and walk straight for about 5 minutes; the Centro Cultural Metropolitano will be on your right.

  • Walking

    From the Basilica del Voto Nacional, exit the basilica and head south on Calle Carchi. Continue until you reach Avenida 10 de Agosto. Turn left onto Avenida 10 de Agosto and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach Plaza Grande. From there, follow the previous walking instructions heading east on Calle García Moreno for about 5 minutes to reach the Centro Cultural Metropolitano.

    If you are near Parque La Carolina, take any bus heading towards the historic center (look for signs that say 'Centro Histórico'). Get off at Plaza Grande. From Plaza Grande, walk east on Calle García Moreno for about 5 minutes. The Centro Cultural Metropolitano will be on your left, at the intersection of García Moreno and Calle Espejo.
