Car
If you are driving, start from the city of Puyo. Head east on the E30 highway towards Río Verde. After approximately 17 km, look for signs for El Pailón del Diablo. There is a parking area available near the entrance. Be prepared to pay a small parking fee of around $1-2.
Public Transportation
To reach El Pailón del Diablo using public transportation, take a bus from Puyo to Río Verde. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal in Puyo, and the fare is typically around $0.50. Once you arrive in Río Verde, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to the entrance of El Pailón del Diablo. Follow the signs along the road, and you will reach the entrance in about 20 minutes.
Walking
If you are already near the area or prefer to walk from Río Verde, the trail to the waterfalls is well-marked. The path is about 1.5 km and takes roughly 30-40 minutes to walk. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
