Public Transport
From Riobamba, take a bus towards Cuenca along the Panamericana highway. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turnoff for Lagunas de Ozogoche, after the Guamote stop; this segment costs around $1. From the turnoff, wait for a van that regularly travels to the lakes; this ride takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs between $8 and $11.
Driving
From Alausí, take the road to Riobamba. After 21.2 kilometers, you'll find the turnoff to Charicando. From there, it's another 22.3 kilometers on a partially paved road to the turnoff for Totoras and the Ozogoche Lagoons. Be aware that the road can be muddy, especially during the wet season (January to March).
