Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the famous Alexandria Library (Bibliotheca Alexandrina), head east towards the Corniche. Once you reach the Corniche, turn right and walk along the waterfront. Continue straight for about 1 km. You will pass the Stanley Bridge to your left. After approximately 15 minutes of walking, you will see Qaitbai Square on your right, at the intersection of El-Gaish Road.

If you are near the Alexandria Opera House, exit the building and head south towards the main road, then turn left onto El-Gaish Road. Walk straight for around 1.5 km. You will see signs for Qaitbai Square. It will be on your left at the intersection with the Corniche.

Public Transport - Bus
From the city center, you can take a local bus towards the Corniche. Board the bus that indicates it goes to 'As Sayalah'. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop for 'Qaitbai'. Exit the bus and walk a short distance towards El-Gaish Road, where you will find Qaitbai Square.
