Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Aswan High Dam. From the dam, head southwest towards the Nile Corniche. Once you reach the Corniche, turn left and walk along the riverbank. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with El-Mahdi Street. Turn right onto El-Mahdi Street and walk for approximately 800 meters until you see signs pointing towards the Aga Khan Mausoleum.

  • Ferry

    If you are near the Old Cataract Hotel, you can take a ferry across the Nile to the west bank. Board the ferry at the hotel dock, and once you arrive on the other side, follow the path leading to the main road. Turn left on the road and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach Sheyakhah Oula. Continue straight until you see the Aga Khan Mausoleum on your right.

    From the Aswan city center, locate a minibus station. Board a minibus heading towards Sheyakhah Oula, which are plentiful. The fare is minimal, and the ride will take about 15 minutes.
