Getting There

Walking
If you are in the heart of Islamic Cairo, the best way to reach Al-Azhar Park is by walking. Start from Al-Azhar Mosque, located on Al-Azhar Street. From the mosque, head east on Al-Azhar Street until you reach the intersection with Salah Salem Street. Turn left onto Salah Salem Street and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will see the entrance to Al-Azhar Park on your right side, just before you reach the intersection with El-Darb El-Ahmar Street.

You can also take the Cairo Metro to reach Al-Azhar Park. Head to the nearest Metro station, which is 'Sadat' station on Line 1 (the red line). From Sadat station, take the train towards Helwan and get off at 'Mar Girgis' station. Exit the station and walk towards Salah Salem Street. Turn left onto Salah Salem Street, and after a 10-minute walk, you will arrive at Al-Azhar Park on your right. The Metro fare is approximately 5 EGP.
