Black Desert: A Volcanic Wonder in Egypt's Western Desert

The Black Desert, located in western Egypt between the White Desert and the Bahariya Oasis, is a captivating region distinguished by its volcano-shaped mounds and widespread distribution of black basalt rocks. Covering approximately 30 km, the desert's characteristic black color comes from basalt sills capping most of its mounds.
