Getting there

Car

If you're driving, navigate to central Cairo. From Tahrir Square, head northeast on Mohamed Mahmoud Street, then turn right onto 26th of July Corridor. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with El-Gamaleya Street. Turn left onto El-Gamaleya Street, and Khan el-Khalili will be on your right. Parking can be challenging in the area, so look for nearby parking lots or street parking. Be aware of potential parking fees, which can vary.

Public Transportation - Metro

Take the Cairo Metro, Line 1 (the Helwan line) towards El-Marg. Disembark at the Sadat Station, which is located near Tahrir Square. From Sadat Station, exit and walk northeast towards Mohamed Mahmoud Street. From there, follow the directions for driving by walking towards El-Gamaleya Street where Khan el-Khalili is located. The metro ticket costs around 5 EGP.

Public Transportation - Bus
