Car
If you're driving from Cairo, get on the Ring Road and follow the signs towards Giza. Take the exit towards Al Haram and continue straight. You will pass through several traffic signals and, depending on the time of day, may encounter heavy traffic. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the Pyramids. Once you reach Al Haram street, follow the signs to the Pyramids of Giza. Parking is available near the entrance, but expect to pay a fee of approximately 20 EGP for parking. The entrance to the Giza Plateau, where the Pyramids are located, requires a ticket, which costs around 200 EGP for foreigners.
Public Transportation
From downtown Cairo, you can take a microbus or a bus heading to Giza. Look for buses or microbuses with signs indicating 'Giza' or 'Pyramids'. The journey may take around 30-60 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Giza, you may need to take a taxi or a ride-sharing service to reach the entrance of the Pyramids. The taxi fare can range from 30-50 EGP. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they will take you to the Pyramids entrance.
Taxi or Ride-sharing
If you're in a neighborhood close to the Pyramids, you can easily hail a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Uber or Careem. Input 'Pyramids of Giza' or use the specific address: 'Nazlet El-Semman, Al Haram, Giza'. The fare will vary based on your starting point but expect to pay between 50-100 EGP from central locations in Cairo. This is a convenient option if you prefer direct transport.
