Walking
If you're starting from Luxor Temple, head northeast towards the Nile Corniche and turn right onto the Corniche. Follow the road along the river for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the bridge. After crossing the bridge, continue straight until you see signs for Karnak on your right. Follow the signs and you will arrive at the entrance of Karnak Temple.
Horse-drawn carriage
From your hotel in central Luxor, find a horse-drawn carriage (often called a 'calèche'). Negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to Karnak Temple. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. The driver will take you directly to the temple entrance.
Shared minibus
Locate a shared minibus (microbus) stop near your accommodation. Look for a minibus heading towards Karnak. The ride will cost a small fee and may take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at Karnak Temple; they usually know the destination.
Bicycle rental
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Luxor. Start from the shop and head towards the Nile Corniche, then follow the same route as if you were walking (along the Corniche and across the bridge).
