Getting There

• Walking

  From your location in Karnak, head south towards the main road (the Karnak Temple road). Walk for about 15 minutes in the direction of Luxor Temple. You will see signs directing you toward the Luxor Temple as you approach the city center.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer a quicker route, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Karnak. Cycle south along the main road for approximately 10 minutes. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Luxor Temple. The area is mostly flat, making it easy to navigate.

• Horse-drawn Carriage (Felucca)

  For a unique experience, consider hiring a horse-drawn carriage from Karnak. This method can be slightly more expensive, costing around 50-100 EGP (Egyptian Pounds) depending on negotiation. The carriage will take you down the main road directly to the entrance of Luxor Temple. The journey will take about 15 minutes.

• Local Minibus

  Look for a local minibus service that travels between Karnak and Luxor Temple. These minibuses are usually crowded and offer a local experience. The fare is typically around 5-10 EGP per person. Get off at the stop closest to Luxor Temple, which is a short walk from the First Pylon.
