If you are in the center of Luxor, start at the Luxor Temple, which is a famous landmark. From the Luxor Temple, head south along the Corniche road, which runs parallel to the Nile River. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Al-Mahdi Street. Turn left onto Al-Mahdi Street and walk straight for another 5 minutes. The Abou al-Haggag Mosque will be on your right, just before the entrance to the Karnak Temple.
Horse-drawn carriage
You can hire a horse-drawn carriage (known locally as a 'calash') from the Luxor Temple area. Ask the driver to take you to Abou al-Haggag Mosque. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The driver should know the route to the mosque as it is a well-known tourist attraction.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near Luxor Temple. Head south along the Corniche road towards Al-Mahdi Street. After about 10 minutes of cycling, turn left onto Al-Mahdi Street. Continue straight for 5 minutes, and you will find the Abou al-Haggag Mosque on your right side.
