Walking
From the center of Sohag, start at the main bus station (محطة الأتوبيس) located on El-Mahdi Street. Exit the station and head east onto Mohamed Ali Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Al-Nasr Street. Turn left onto Al-Nasr Street and walk for another 500 meters until you reach the Sohag Corniche. From there, you can enjoy a scenic walk along the Nile River. Head north along the Corniche until you reach the bridge leading to the opposite side of the river. Cross the bridge and continue walking north, following signs for Luxor. This is a long walk, so consider stopping for refreshments along the way.

Public Transport - Minibus
From the center of Sohag, walk to the main bus station (محطة الأتوبيس) on El-Mahdi Street. Look for a minibus heading towards Luxor. The fare is usually very affordable. Once on the bus, let the driver know you are going to the Temple of Ramesses II. The journey should take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Luxor, ask the driver to drop you off near the Karnak Temple area, as the Temple of Ramesses II is located nearby. From the drop-off point, you can walk approximately 15 minutes to reach the temple.
