From San Salvador, take a bus to Izalco, then transfer to a bus to Sonsonate. From Sonsonate, take bus #257 to Los Cobanos. The total journey takes approximately 2.5 hours and costs around $4. Once in Los Cobanos, walk south on Calle Principal for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Keep right at the fork and continue for another 2 kilometers until you see signs for Cobanos Beach.

If driving from the center of Los Cobanos Beach, head south on Calle Principal for 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Keep right at the fork, following signs for 'Playa Los Cobanos'. Continue for another 2 kilometers until you see signs for Cobanos Beach. Parking is available near the beach entrance.
