Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the Harjumaa region, head towards Tallinn via the E263 highway. Follow the signs for Tallinn, which will take you into the city center. Once you reach Tallinn, follow the signs for Kesklinn (the city center). You will find parking options near the cathedral; the closest parking is at the 'Lossi plats' parking area. From the parking lot, it's just a short walk to the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, located at Lossi plats 10.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  To reach Alexander Nevsky Cathedral by public transportation, take a bus to Tallinn from various towns in Harjumaa. Check the schedules on your local bus provider's website. Once you arrive at the Tallinna Bussijaam (Tallinn Bus Station), transfer to tram line 1 or 2. Disembark at the 'Toompea' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the cathedral, following the signs towards Lossi plats.

• Public Transportation - Train

  If you choose to travel by train, take a train from any station in Harjumaa to Tallinn. Once at the Tallinna Raudteejaam (Tallinn Train Station), exit the station and walk to the tram stop located nearby. Take tram line 1 or 2 towards 'Kadriorg' or 'Balti Jaam' and get off at the 'Toompea' stop. The cathedral is a brief walk from there, following the signs to Lossi plats.

  If you are already in the vicinity of the city center, walking to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is quite straightforward. From the Tallinna Bussijaam or Tallinna Raudteejaam, head towards the city center. The cathedral is located on Toompea Hill, and you can follow the main roads leading toward Lossi plats. Look for the distinctive dome of the cathedral as you approach.
