From the center of Ida-Viru County, head towards the town of Kauksi. If you are coming from the town of Kohtla-Järve, take the E20 road heading south towards Narva. After approximately 20 kilometers, take the exit for Kauksi. Follow the signs for Kauksi and continue on the local roads until you reach Alutaguse rahvuspark, which is located in the vicinity of Kauksi, 41008. Parking is available at designated areas within the national park.

If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a bus from the main bus station in Kohtla-Järve or another nearby town. Look for buses heading towards Narva or specifically to Kauksi. The bus ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kauksi bus stop, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the entrance of Alutaguse rahvuspark. Check the local bus schedules in advance for the most accurate departure times.
