Car
If you are driving from any location in Lääne-Viru County, head south towards the city of Tallinn. The most common route is via Route 2 (E263), which will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you reach Tallinn, follow the signs for the city center (Kesklinn). As you get closer, navigate towards Lossi plats. There is limited parking available nearby, so consider using public parking facilities in the vicinity.
Bus
You can take a bus from various towns in Lääne-Viru County to Tallinn. Services from towns like Rakvere or Kunda are frequent. Look for the buses operated by companies such as Lux Express or GoBus, which usually take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Tallinn, disembark at the Tallinna Bussijaam (Bus Station). From there, you can either walk to the cathedral or take a tram. If walking, head towards the Old Town, which is about a 15-20 minute walk.
Tram
After arriving at the Tallinna Bussijaam, you can take tram number 1 or 2 from the nearby tram stop towards the city center. Get off at the 'Vabaduse väljak' stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral located at Lossi plats 10. Follow the signs towards Toompea Hill, and you will see the iconic cathedral as you approach.
