Follow the E20 for approximately 60 kilometers. As you approach Tallinn, take the exit towards Tartu/Mustamäe. Continue straight onto Tartu maantee, and then follow the signs for 'Kesklinn'. After entering the city, turn onto Pikk jalg street, where you'll find Pika jala väravatorn located at Pikk jalg 3, 10130 Tallinn. Parking is available in nearby public parking facilities, which may incur a fee.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus or train from your location in Lääne-Virumaa to Tallinn. Buses run frequently from most towns, including Rakvere and Jõhvi. Once you arrive at the Tallinn central bus station or railway station, head to the nearest tram or bus stop. You can take tram number 1 or bus number 20 towards 'Kesklinn'. Get off at the stop 'Toompea', and from there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Pika jala väravatorn. Walk down Toompea hill and take a left on Pikk jalg street. The landmark will be on your right at Pikk jalg 3. Please note that public transportation tickets may cost around €2-€3.
