Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Soomaa National Park located near the town of Ruhnu. Head south on the E263 highway towards Pärnu. After about 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Kavaru. Follow the signs to Kavaru, and drive for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach the Kavaru linnuvaatlustorn parking area. There is no parking fee.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Pärnu to Kavaru. The bus service runs several times a day. Once you arrive at the Kavaru bus stop, it's approximately a 2-kilometer walk to the Kavaru linnuvaatlustorn. Follow the road towards the east, then take a left onto a forest path that leads directly to the observation tower. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for exact departure times.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Pärnu and follow the same route as you would by car. The distance from Pärnu to Kavaru is about 30 kilometers, and it’s a scenic ride through the countryside. Once you reach Kavaru, you can park your bike near the tower. Ensure you have a bike lock for security.
