Valgeranna Rand: A Coastal Haven

Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, the most straightforward route is to head west from Soomaa National Park towards Pärnu. You will take the E263 highway (Tallinn-Pärnu highway). Follow the signs for Pärnu and continue on E263 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the roundabout near Pärnu. From the roundabout, take the exit onto Pärnu Ringtee (the Pärnu Ring Road) towards Valgeranna. Continue on this road for about 8 kilometers. As you approach Valgeranna, turn right onto Liini tee. Valgeranna rand (Liini tee 1, Valgeranna, 88326 Pärnu maakond) will be at the end of the road, where you can find parking available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer using public transportation, you can take a bus from Pärnu to Valgeranna. First, take a bus from Soomaa National Park to Pärnu city center. Once in Pärnu, head to the bus station and take the bus that goes to Valgeranna. Buses to Valgeranna run regularly, but it's advisable to check the local schedule in advance. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. After arriving in Valgeranna, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach Valgeranna rand, following Liini tee towards the coast.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike from Soomaa National Park to Valgeranna. The route is about 38 kilometers long. Start by heading west towards Pärnu, then follow the same route as described for cars. The roads are generally safe for cycling, but be mindful of traffic, especially near Pärnu. Once you reach Valgeranna, follow Liini tee to the beach. Ensure your bike is in good condition and consider carrying water and snacks for the ride.
