Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Tallinn Town Hall (Raekoja Plats), head east on Raekoja Plats towards Pikk Street. After about 100 meters, turn right onto Pikk Street and walk for approximately 300 meters until you reach the corner with the main road, Narva Maantee. Cross Narva Maantee and continue onto Lai Street. Walk straight for about 400 meters until you reach the end of the street, then turn left onto Toompea Hill. After a short uphill walk of about 200 meters, you will reach the Vabamu Museum located at Toompea 8b, on your right.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From the Tallinn Old Town, walk to the nearest tram stop, 'Viru'. Take tram number 1 or 2 in the direction of 'Kalamaja' (for tram 1) or 'Balti Jaam' (for tram 2). Get off at the 'Toompea' stop, which is just about 500 meters from the museum. Once you exit the tram, walk up Toompea Hill towards the castle, and the Vabamu Museum will be located at Toompea 8b on your left.
