Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the town center of Tartu, start at the Town Hall Square (Raekoja plats). From the square, head east on Tartu mnt (Tartu Road) for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Uppsala street. Turn right onto Uppsala street. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Tartu Tähetorn (Observatory), which will be located on your left at Uppsala 8.

  • Public Transport

    From the Tartu Bus Station, take bus number 1 or 5 in the direction of 'Tammelinna'. After approximately 5 stops (around 10-15 minutes), get off at 'Mäe' stop. From there, walk along Uppsala street for about 500 meters, and Tartu Tähetorn will be on your right at Uppsala 8.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental services in Tartu. Start at the Tartu Town Hall Square and head east on Tartu mnt. After about 500 meters, turn right onto Uppsala street. Continue cycling for approximately 1 kilometer. Tartu Tähetorn will be on your left at Uppsala 8.
