After about 1.5 km, you will come to a junction. Take a left turn onto the road signposted for Forbes Reef. Continue straight for about 3 km, and you will see the entrance to Malolotja National Park on your right. Make sure to keep an eye out for the signs along the way.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Malkerns. Start at the Malkerns market and cycle east along the MR3 road. After cycling for approximately 2 km, you'll reach a T-junction. Turn left at the junction and keep cycling for about 3 km. Look for the sign that indicates the entrance to Malolotja National Park on your right-hand side. The ride should take around 30-40 minutes depending on your cycling speed.

  • Public Transport (Taxi)

    From Malkerns, catch a local taxi (commonly known as a 'kombis') that is heading towards Forbes Reef. You can find these taxis near the Malkerns market or the bus stop. Inform the driver that you want to go to Malolotja National Park. The ride will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you may need to walk a short distance to get to the visitor center.
