Getting There

    From Kirkos, head towards the nearest main road, Bole Road. You can ask locals for 'Bole Bole' or 'Meskel Square' to find out where it is. Once on Bole Road, walk towards the direction of Meskel Square. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach Meskel Square, a major landmark in Addis Ababa.

  • Minibus Taxi

    At Meskel Square, look for a minibus taxi heading towards Entoto. The fare is usually around 10-15 Ethiopian Birr. Make sure to ask the conductor if the minibus goes to Entoto Park. The ride will take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The minibus will drop you off at the base of Entoto Mountain.

    From where the minibus drops you off, you will need to hike up to the park. The trail is well-marked and offers scenic views. It’s about a 30-minute walk uphill to reach the entrance of Entoto Park. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the hike can be moderately challenging.
