Car
To reach Gulele Botanical Garden from Debre Libanos Monastery by car, start by heading south on the main road from the monastery. After about 30 kilometers, you will reach the outskirts of Addis Ababa. Continue straight and follow the signs towards the city center. Once you reach the city, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards the Gulele Botanical Garden, typically located at 3PHC+C92, Addis Ababa. The journey should take around 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions.
Public Transportation
To use public transportation from Debre Libanos Monastery to Gulele Botanical Garden, first take a local minibus (known as 'bajaj') heading towards Addis Ababa. The fare is usually around 30-50 Ethiopian Birr. Once you reach the main bus terminal in Addis Ababa, transfer to a minibus going to the Gulele area. Inform the driver that you wish to stop near the Gulele Botanical Garden, and they will let you off at the closest point. Walking from there to the garden should take about 15 minutes.
