Travel Guide to ENTOTO PARK MAIN ENTRANCE

Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Addis Ababa, such as Meskel Square. From Meskel Square, head north towards Bole Road. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Africa Avenue. Turn left onto Africa Avenue and walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Gulele area. Look for signs directing you to Entoto Park. You will eventually reach Intoto Street. Walk along Intoto Street, and you will see the entrance to Entoto Park on your right, just before you reach the coordinates 3QP6+8JX.

• Public Transport (Minibus)

  From Meskel Square, take a minibus headed to Gulele. The minibuses are located at the main station near Meskel Square. Make sure to ask if the bus is going to Gulele. The fare is inexpensive. Once on board, tell the driver you are going to Entoto Park or ask to be dropped off at the closest stop to Intoto Street. After you get off, walk along Intoto Street and look for the entrance to Entoto Park on your right. The distance from the drop-off point to the park entrance is about 500 meters.

• Taxi (Bajaj)

  You can use a Bajaj (three-wheeled taxi) for a quicker and more direct route. From your location in Addis Ababa, request a Bajaj and tell the driver to take you to Entoto Park. It’s helpful to show them the location on a map or provide the coordinates 3QP6+8JX if you have access to a smartphone. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. The Bajaj will drop you off at the main entrance of Entoto Park.
