Walking
From the center of Debre Markos, start at the main square (Mekele Square). Head south on the main road (Abay Avenue) for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several local shops and cafes on your left and right. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the University of Debre Markos. Turn right at the intersection and walk for another 500 meters. You will see a sign for አልዓዛር መናፈሻ (Al Azar's Green Park) on your left. The entrance to the park is just a short walk down that road.

From the main bus station in Debre Markos, take a minibus heading towards the University of Debre Markos. Ask the driver to drop you off near the intersection with Abay Avenue. Once you get off, walk south on Abay Avenue for about 500 meters. At the intersection with the road leading to the University, turn right.
