If you are starting from the center of Debre Markos, head south on the main road, known as Addis Ababa Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Enkuan School. Turn left at this intersection and continue walking for another 500 meters. You will see a small sign pointing towards Afaf on your right. Follow this path for approximately 300 meters, and you will arrive at Afaf, located at coordinates 10.338575, 37.748295.

From Debre Markos city center, locate the nearest bus station where local minibuses operate. Take a minibus heading towards the direction of Afaf. Make sure to ask the conductor to let you know when you reach the stop for Afaf. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, follow the path indicated by locals or any signage, which should lead you directly to Afaf, a short walk from the bus stop.

Bike Rental

If you prefer a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in the city center. After securing your bike, head south on Addis Ababa Road. Ride continuously for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Enkuan School. Turn left and ride for another 500 meters. Look for a small path on your right leading to Afaf. The total biking distance is around 2.5 kilometers, and should take approximately 10-15 minutes.
