Getting There

Walking
From the center of Debre Markos, head east on Main Street (known locally as 'Bole Road'). Walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the junction with a large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road that leads towards the Addis Ababa highway. Continue walking for another 10 minutes. You will see a sign for St. George Church on your right. Follow the path that leads up to the church entrance.

Start at the town square in Debre Markos and rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head east along Main Street (Bole Road) for approximately 2 kilometers. When you reach the large roundabout, take the second exit towards the Addis Ababa highway. Continue cycling for another 1 kilometer until you see the sign for St. George Church on your right.
