From the center of Lalibela, head south toward the main road. Look for signs directing you towards the Lalibela Rock-Hewn Churches. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the main road. Turn left onto the main road, which is also known as the Lalibela-Addis Ababa highway. Walk along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign for Girany Amba, which is on your right. Follow this smaller road for about 2 kilometers, keeping an eye out for local landmarks such as small shops or coffee stands. After reaching Girany Amba, continue straight until you see the path leading towards ውላሳይ ተራራ Wulasay, which is approximately 500 meters from the main road. The trailhead is marked by a small rock formation and some local trees, leading you to the hiking area.
