Getting There

From the center of Lalibela, head south toward the main road. Look for signs directing you towards the Lalibela Rock-Hewn Churches. Continue walking for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the main road. Turn left onto the main road, which is also known as the Lalibela-Addis Ababa highway. Walk along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign for Girany Amba, which is on your right.
