    From Mago National Park, start by driving north towards the town of Jinka. Follow the main road (approximately 50 km) until you reach Jinka, where you can refuel and gather supplies. From Jinka, continue north on the main road for about 100 km until you reach the town of Arba Minch. Then, take the road east towards the Bale Mountains National Park. Follow the signs, and after approximately 150 km, you will reach the entrance of Bale Mountains National Park located at VPPM+8PG, Rira.

  • Public Transportation

    To travel by public transportation, first, find a minibus or shared taxi from Mago National Park to Jinka. This ride should cost around 50 ETB and take about an hour. Once in Jinka, you can take another minibus or shared taxi to Arba Minch (costing about 100 ETB and taking approximately 2-3 hours). From Arba Minch, you will need to catch a bus or shared taxi heading towards Rira. This final leg will cost around 150 ETB and take about 3-4 hours. Make sure to arrange your transport ahead of time, as schedules can vary.

  • Combination of Car and Hiking

    If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider driving from Mago National Park to the nearest road entry point of Bale Mountains National Park. Drive to the village of Robe (approximately 200 km from Mago), and then park your vehicle. From there, you can hike into the park.
