Car
If you are driving from Addis Ababa, take the Addis Ababa to Jimma Road (A1). After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Ginchi. Continue driving for about 60 kilometers until you reach Ginchi. Once in Ginchi, follow the signs to Chilimo Forest, which is located about 15 kilometers west of Ginchi. The final stretch to Chilimo Forest is on a dirt road, so be prepared for a bumpy ride. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for this terrain.

Public Transportation
From Addis Ababa, head to the main bus station (Meskel Square) and board a bus heading to Jimma or Ginchi. The fare is usually around 50-70 Ethiopian Birr. Inform the driver you want to get off at Ginchi. Once you arrive in Ginchi, you can hire a local taxi (blue and white) to take you to Chilimo Forest. The taxi fare for the 15-kilometer journey will be approximately 200-300 Ethiopian Birr. Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
