Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest major city, which is Adama. Head southwest on the A1 highway for about 40 kilometers until you reach the town of Arsi Lita. From Arsi Lita, follow the signs towards Lephis Water Fall, which is approximately 15 kilometers away. The road may be unpaved in some sections, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Pay attention to local signage, and ask locals for directions if needed.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Adama to Arsi Lita. Buses to Arsi Lita are frequent and leave from the main bus station in Adama. The journey will take about an hour and cost around 20-30 Ethiopian Birr. Upon arriving in Arsi Lita, you can hire a local taxi or bajaj (three-wheeled vehicle) to take you the remaining 15 kilometers to Lephis Water Fall. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should be around 100-200 Ethiopian Birr depending on your bargaining skills.
Walking/Hiking
If you enjoy hiking, consider walking the last few kilometers from Arsi Lita to Lephis Water Fall. The route is scenic, but be prepared for a moderately challenging hike. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and bring water and snacks. It's advisable to travel in a group for safety and to ask locals for the best walking paths as you approach the waterfall.
