Car
If you are driving to Simien Mountains National Park, start your journey from Gondar. Head north on the main road (A2), which is well-marked. The distance is approximately 100 kilometers, and the drive will take around 2 to 3 hours depending on road conditions. As you approach the park, you will see signage directing you to the park entrance. Be aware that there may be a small entrance fee (around 200 Ethiopian Birr) to enter the park.

Public Transportation (Minibus)
From Gondar, you can take a minibus to Debark, the nearest town to Simien Mountains National Park. The minibuses leave from the main bus station in Gondar and usually cost about 50 Ethiopian Birr. The journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Debark, you can hire a local guide or arrange a private vehicle to take you to the park entrance, which is approximately 30 minutes away. Make sure to agree on the price beforehand, which typically ranges from 300 to 600 Ethiopian Birr depending on the vehicle type.
