Walking
From Haraldssund, a coastal path leads north to Skarðsbygd. The path is visible along the beach, but caution is advised due to slippery bedrock and numerous streams. The walk is approximately 5 km and passes Skarðsmannastíggj, a route historically used by Skarðsbygd men after fishing with the men of Haraldssund. There are no costs associated with walking to Skarðsbygd.

Public Transport
From Klaksvík, take bus line 504 towards Kunoy. Get off at Haraldssund. From there, follow the walking directions along the coastal path to Skarðsbygd. As of April 8, 2025, single fares on the bus will increase by 5 DKK. Please note that bus services are limited, especially on weekends, so check the schedule in advance.

Driving
From Klaksvík, drive to Haraldssund via the causeway connecting Borðoy and Kunoy. Park in Haraldssund and then proceed on foot along the coastal path to Skarðsbygd. Driving from Klaksvík to Haraldssund is approximately 11 km and takes about 12 minutes. There are no parking fees in Haraldssund. Be aware that the tunnel on Kunoy is narrow and requires caution.
