Driving
From Tórshavn, take Route 10 north, continuing onto Route 594. The drive is approximately 50 km and takes about an hour. Be aware of narrow, single-lane roads as you approach Tjørnuvík. Parking is available near the village, but during peak season, a free 'park and ride' shuttle service operates from Haldórsvík. Campervans are not permitted in Tjørnuvík but can park in Haldórsvík. Expect to pay a toll for the Vágatunnilin tunnel if arriving from the airport; this must be paid online within three days.

From Tórshavn, take bus 400 to Oyrarbakki. Then, transfer to bus 201, which goes directly to Tjørnuvík. The bus journey takes longer than driving, and schedules are limited, so check the timetable in advance. A multi-day travel card can be purchased for unlimited bus and ferry travel (excluding Mykines). A single bus fare is approximately 20 DKK.
