Follow Route 10 north, passing through Kollafjørður, then continue onto Route 594, which leads directly to the village. Be aware that the road to Tjørnuvík is a narrow, winding mountain road. There are pull-over spots to allow vehicles to pass. Parking is available in the village. There are no parking costs.

    To reach Tjørnuvík by public transport from Tórshavn, take bus 400 to Oyrarbakki. From Oyrarbakki, transfer to bus 201, which goes directly to Tjørnuvík. The bus journey is scenic but requires planning due to limited schedules. A single fare on the bus costs approximately 30 DKK.
