Getting There

    Start at the center of Gøta, near the church (Gøtu kirkja). Head northwest on the main road (Gøtuvegur) for about 1.5 kilometers. You'll pass a few local shops and residential areas. Continue straight until you reach a fork in the road. At the fork, bear left onto a smaller path that leads uphill. Follow this path for approximately 500 meters. As you ascend, you will begin to see stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Once you reach the top, you will find Ásmundarstakkur, an observation deck offering breathtaking views over the Faroe Islands.

    If you are starting from the Gøtuvøttur (the local swimming pool), exit the pool area and head southeast on Gøtuvegur for about 400 meters until you reach the main intersection. Turn left onto a smaller road that leads you up the hill. This path is marked and has signs indicating the direction to Ásmundarstakkur. Follow this path for about 1 kilometer, and you will arrive at the observation deck, where you can enjoy panoramic views.
