Walking
From the center of Gøta, head northwest along the main road (Route 10) towards the village of Funningur. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Funningur. The walk is approximately 3.5 kilometers and takes about 45 minutes. As you walk, enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding hills and the ocean. Once you reach Funningur, keep walking straight until you see Funnings Kirkja on your left, identifiable by its distinctive grass roof.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Gøta. Start from the main square and head northwest on Route 10 towards Funningur. The cycling distance is the same as walking, about 3.5 kilometers. The route is relatively flat and offers beautiful views. Once you reach Funningur, park your bicycle near the church and walk to Funnings Kirkja, which will be on your left.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Gøta, check the local bus schedule for a bus heading towards Funningur. The bus stop is located at the main road. Board the bus, and it will take you directly to Funningur. Once you arrive, disembark and walk towards Funnings Kirkja, which is a short walk from the bus stop, located on your left. Make sure to check the return bus schedule for your journey back.
