From Klaksvík, board the Route 56 ferry to Syðradalur on Kalsoy Island. The ferry crossing takes about 20 minutes and costs 40 DKK for adults. Upon arrival in Syðradalur, take bus 506 to Trøllanes. This bus ride costs 20 DKK. From Trøllanes, the hike to the lighthouse is approximately 1 hour. Ferry tickets can now be booked in advance. A 4-day travel card, valid on all buses and ferries (except Mykines), costs 500 DKK.

    To drive to Kallur Lighthouse, start in Tórshavn and head northeast on Route 10 towards Klaksvík. The drive is approximately 75km and takes about 1.5 hours. From Klaksvík, take the Route 56 ferry to Syðradalur on Kalsoy Island. The ferry crossing takes about 20 minutes. The cost for a vehicle and driver is 160 DKK, with an additional 40 DKK per passenger. It is highly recommended to book the ferry in advance due to limited space (12 vehicles). From Syðradalur, drive north to Trøllanes. This 20-25 minute drive (16.6 km) involves navigating four one-lane tunnels. Parking in Trøllanes is free. From Trøllanes, hike approximately 1 hour to reach the lighthouse.

    The final approach to Kallur Lighthouse involves a 1-hour hike from the village of Trøllanes. From the center of Trøllanes, walk north away from the village, keeping the sea on your right. Pass over a cattle grid and follow the gravel track through a red gate. The path ascends a grassy hill. Aim for the stone shelter ruin at the crest of the hill. From there, continue along the path to the lighthouse. Be prepared for muddy and slippery conditions. There is now a mandatory hiking fee of 200 DKK.
