Walking
From the center of Hvalvík, start walking towards the main road (Road 10). Exit the village by heading south and follow the road, keeping the sea on your left. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the junction with Road 1. Turn left onto Road 1 and continue walking for about 5 kilometers. You will pass several scenic views of the coastline and traditional Faroese houses. As you approach Argir, the road will start to become more urban. When you reach Argir, look for Rættargøta. Turn right onto Rættargøta and walk until you find the address 8 Rættargøta, where Føroya Sjósavn is located. The aquarium is situated near the coastline, so you can enjoy the views along the way.

If you prefer to use public transport, start by walking to the nearest bus stop in Hvalvík. Take the bus heading towards Tórshavn. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Disembark at the Argir bus stop. From the bus stop, walk north along the main road (Road 1) for about 500 meters until you reach Rættargøta. Turn right onto Rættargøta and continue until you arrive at 8 Rættargøta, where the Føroya Sjósavn is located. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest departure times.
