Yviri við Strond is easily accessible on foot from Tórshavn's city center. From the main square, Vaglið, walk towards the harbor and follow the road along the waterfront. The walk is approximately 5 minutes.

Public Transport
Tórshavn's red city buses (Bussleiðin) are free and provide access to Yviri við Strond. Several bus routes stop near the waterfront. Check the real-time map for the nearest stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the waterfront.

If driving, you can park in Tórshavn city center. Parking is free, but time limits apply in the city center. Observe the blue parking signs for time restrictions, which are in effect Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. There are several parking lots within walking distance, some with 8-hour limits. Fines for parking violations are around DKK 500. Tórshavn Municipality operates the red city buses called Bussleiðin. Five routes criss-cross each corner of the town. Four of the routes run every day of the week, at least once an hour. All lines converge at Steinatún square and most also at Á Hálsi, which make for easy transfers. As of 2019, the bus system is free-of-charge for both local citizens and visitors. You can find the current timetables in the above section. Spacepermitting, bicycles can be brought onboard after 5 pm.
