Public Transport
To reach Tjørnuvík Beach via public transport from Tórshavn, take Bus 400 to Oyrarbakki. From Oyrarbakki, transfer to Bus 201, which goes directly to Tjørnuvík. The bus journey from Tórshavn to Oyrarbakki takes approximately 30 minutes, and the connecting bus to Tjørnuvík takes around 30 minutes. A multi-day travel card for unlimited bus and ferry travel (excluding Mykines) costs DKK 500 for four days. Single bus fares are relatively inexpensive.

Driving
If driving from Tórshavn, head northwest on Route 10. After approximately 45 minutes, take Route 59 towards Vestmanna, then follow signs to Route 60 towards Tjørnuvík. The drive takes about one hour. Parking is available near the beach, potentially with a small fee. Be aware that the roads to Tjørnuvík are narrow and can be congested during peak season. The subsea tunnel, Vágatunnilin, connecting Vágar Airport to Streymoy requires a toll; prices vary.
