    From the village of Sandvík, follow Heiðavegur road west, following signs for Ásmundarstakkur. The road is narrow and can be bumpy in places. After approximately 1.5 km, a small parking area will be on the left side of the road, just before an isolated house and the Sandvíksá stream. Park here and continue on foot.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Sandvík, you can walk to Ásmundarstakkur. Head west on Heiðavegur road from the village center, following signs for Ásmundarstakkur. The walk to the parking area at the trailhead is approximately 30 minutes. From the parking area, it is a short hike to the viewpoint.
