Walking
From the center of Skúvoy village, head south on the main road. The path leads through the village, offering scenic views. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you'll reach the trailhead that leads to the base of Knútur. The trail is well-marked and guides you up to the mountain peak.
Public Transport
To reach Skúvoy, take the ferry from Sandur on the island of Sandoy. Sandoy is connected to Streymoy (where the capital Tórshavn is located) via the Sandoyartunnilin. From Tórshavn, take bus 400 to Gamlarætt, where you can catch the ferry to Sandoy. Once on Skúvoy, walking is the primary way to reach Knútur. Ferry fares from Gamlarætt to Sandoy are approximately 40 DKK. The bus from Tórshavn to Gamlarætt costs around 35 DKK. The Sandoyartunnilin toll is 100 DKK.
