From the center of Sørvágur, head northwest on Vøttin Street towards the main road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Gasadalur. Follow the signs to Gasadalur, which is approximately 2.5 kilometers away. This route is scenic, with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. As you walk, you may encounter local sheep and possibly some hikers returning from the viewpoint.

Upon entering Gasadalur village, look for the marked trailhead that leads to the Sunset Viewpoint. The trail is well-defined and starts at the eastern edge of the village. Follow the trail for about 1.5 kilometers uphill. The path can be steep in places, so wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for a bit of a climb. The effort is worth it, as the views will become increasingly breathtaking as you ascend.
