Walking
From the center of Gásadalur, the Sunset Viewpoint is an easy 15-minute walk. Head towards the main road leading out of the village. Follow the well-marked path, keeping an eye out for signs indicating 'Sunset Viewpoint'. The path offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the ocean.
Public Transport
To reach Gásadalur by public transport, take bus route 300 from Tórshavn or Vágar Airport to Sørvágur. From Sørvágur, transfer to bus route 350, which will take you to Gásadalur. From the Gásadalur bus stop, the Sunset Viewpoint is a 15-minute walk. A single bus fare within the local area costs approximately 20 DKK.
Driving
If driving, follow the main road in Gásadalur towards the village exit. The Sunset Viewpoint is a few minutes' drive from the village center. Parking is available near the viewpoint. Be aware that the one-lane Gásadalstunnilin tunnel leading to the village is unlit, so headlights are essential. There are lay-bys inside the tunnel to pull into when meeting oncoming traffic. Parking near the viewpoint is free.
